1. Polyferric sulfate is a high molecular polymer, while ferric sulfate is a low molecular inorganic substance. Therefore, the effects of their chemical reactions are different.

2. Polyferric sulfate is a polymer, which hydrolyzes to produce long-chain colloids with strong adsorption and precipitation netting effects. However, the adsorption capacity of the single-molecule colloid formed by single-molecule ferric sulfate is relatively poor. This is also one of the reasons why it is generally not used in sewage treatment.

3. Ferric sulfate is mostly used as an analytical agent, catalyst, mordant, etc. Polyferric sulfate is mostly used as a coagulant in the physical and chemical coagulation and sedimentation process of sewage.

4. The price cost of ferrous sulfate is relatively low.
